Jason

graphic designer

Jason, as the son of a German master tailor, grew up in an environment where everything was a custom fit. He recognized early on that designing and building things himself gave him the opportunity to make them suit specific needs. Creating something unique fostered a strong sense of pride. In his on-going passion for learning, Jason always has a way of giving each project a creative twist and making it something special.

Since high school, Jason has directed his studies toward a career in Graphic Design. In 1990 he enrolled full-time at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and began studies with a year of Fine Arts Foundation courses. In his second year Jason studied Fundamentals for Applied Design before continuing with and graduating from Kwantlen’s two-year Graphics program.

Throughout high school and University, Jason worked part-time for the Hudson’s Bay Company as a Sales Associate. Working in retail sales gave him an appreciation for the value of good customer service, exposure to many different types of people, and knowledge of the inner workings of a longstanding successful business. During summers, Jason worked for Stanley Door Systems fabricating residential and commercial doors on a full-time basis. The hands-on experience gained there has become an invaluable asset given the number of Industrial projects Jason works on.

After completing his diploma, Jason took a position with PrintFastic, a small print shop in Surrey, where he worked full-time for 3 years and learned, first-hand, the ins and outs of offset printing.

In March of 2001 Jason joined 612 Creative, and has been a devoted team member ever since. He loves being a part of the creative process, and interacting daily with other people who share his passion for design. He brings to the team great ideas and innovative solutions, strong compositional skills, and a discerning eye for fine detail.

Jason is lead designer for many of 612’s industrial projects and currently lives in Maple Ridge with his wife and 2 kids.
